Double graduation ceremony at the Faculty of Applied Arts and Education

It has been the first academic year when graduation ceremony was held at the two campuses of the Faculty of Applied Arts and Education SzIU.
The graduates in Szarvas met the teacher’s staff on 16th June according to precedent in the second largest Lutheran church built by Sámuel Tessedik. The program was favored by Mihály Babák Member of the Hungarian Parliament, Mayor of Szarvas, Béla Dankó Member Parliament, Olivér Horváth vicar of the Lutheran Old Church and chairpersons of departments in the Jászberény Campus. Norbert Erdős, comissioner of the Békés County Government Office sent a letter of greeting to the graduated students.
Dr. Imre Lipcsei PhD, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Arts and Education delivered a speech in which he pointed out the requirements and challenges of today’s rapidly changing world and the complex role of teachers. Students Arnold-Zoltán Farkas-Gergely and Adrienn Kis were delivered awards founded by the Training Institution of SzIU for the most prominent prospective educators.
A week later, on 23rd June degrees were given to students graduated in Jászberény. The town Sport Hall was crowded with the people of the students having completed their BA studies, vocatonal training and postgradual courses.
At the end of his speech Imre Lipcsei, Dean of the Faculty announced that Zsuzsanna Knorr Csányi, head of the College Library was given on the occassion of her retirement a distinguished award for the work she carried out as a researcher and tutor. Before distributing degrees to the students Dean of the Faculty returned thanks to dr. Márta Lóczi for her work as vice dean and announced that according to the decision of the Faculty Council dr. Bernadett Varró senior lecturer was appointed vice dean of Faculty of Applied Arts and Education.
