ExchangeAbility Week Spring 2017 - ESN SZIE

Between the 20th and the 26th of March, 40 ESN countries put the everyday struggles of students with disabilities forward, which included Hungary too.

South African delegation at SZIU

Ms. Nolitha Vukuza, Higher Education and Training Attaché at the South African Embassy in Paris, Ms. Kedibone Ramatsa, First Secretary and Ms. Portia Mngomezulu, Third Secretary from the Embassy of South Africa in Budapest were invited by the Department for Bilateral Relations of the Ministry of Human Capacities for a short visit. The primary objective of the visit was to survey the educational standards and infrastructure of the Hungarian higher education since the Hungarian government intends to sign a Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship agreement with the Republic of South Africa soon.

Angolan delegation at SZIU

Mr Moisés Kafala Neto, General Director of the National Angolan Institute of Scholarship Management (INAGBE) and Ms Helena Preciosa Fernandes Gaspar, Technical of the Cooperation Office were invited to Hungary by the Hungarian Rectors’ Conference in order to sign a cooperation agreement about training Angolan students at Hungarian higher education institutions. SZIU at Brazilian International Education Conference

Szent István University (SZIU) was present at FAUBAI 2015- 27th edition of the Annual Conference of the Brazilian Association for International Education (FAUBAI) - in Cuiabá, Brazil from 25 to 29 April 2015. The event provided a unique opportunity for participants to meet their partners and deepen the existing inter-institutional relations.

Developing relations with Minnan Normal Univeristy (Zhangzhou, China)

The cities of Gödöllő and Zhangzhou (with a population of about 5 million) signed a Memorandum of Understanding in July 2011 – preceded by the Chinese partner’s several visits and a few years of successful cooperation – and became sister cities on 19 August 2013 when dr. György Gémesi, Mayor of Gödöllő and Deputy Mayor Xie Yitai signed an agreement.

Her Majesty the Queen Mother of Bhutan visits SZIU

The Office of Her Majesty the Queen Mother Ashi Sangay Choden Wangchuck, Kingdom of Bhutan and Szent István University concluded a Memorandum of Understanding on 5 September 2014. The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Her Majesty the Queen Mother Ashi Sangay Choden Wangchuck and Dr. János Tőzsér the Rector of Szent István University.  Cooperation between the Kingdom of Bhutan and SZIU may take the following forms:  academic collaboration at the undergraduate, graduate and/or doctoral levels, exchange of faculty members and students, and joint research activities.

Chinese Minister of Agriculture visits SZIU

Invited by the Hungarian Ministry of Rural Development, Minister Han Changfu and his delegation paid a visit to Szent István University on 4th June 2014. The Hungarian Ministry of Rural Development Fellowship Programme

The FAO / Hungarian Ministry of Rural Development scholarship is now available for students from select countries to study within the MSc in Agricultural Engineering and MSc in Rural Development and Agribusiness courses at Szent István University.

Delegation from Northeast University, Shenyang, China

A delegation from Northeast University, Shenyang, China, led by President Ding Lieyun, visited Szent István University’s main campus in Gödöllő on June 29th to meet with SZIE leadership and sign a new agreement for academic cooperation.
